So yesterday I had a full day of dance classes and was on my way to dinner with some friends. Before I decided to leave I did the usual “homage” to the bathroom, as wonderful parents have engrained in so many of our minds. As I go into the bathroom, prepared to do my business, I quickly do an about face into the hall and stated, “ OH HELL NO!” My neighbor came out and says, “ Did you see what I saw?” and I said, “ Girl? WTF is going on in here?” she says I don’t know but I’m about tired of it. After backing into the stall of floating red shame, I flushed the shit down the toilet and used the other stall.
I can’t believe Deez Heffas and their lack of hygiene. We are in a college environment which supports a common understanding that we are better than our high school counterparts. We are SUPPOSE TO BE: more mature, intellectual, and mentally capable of understanding various cultural backgrounds and perspectives. But here we are, going through the same bs we fought to get away from last year. All I ask is that after you go, you flush the toilet and make sure your business goes down before you leave. Is that too much to ask? I would rather you do it than me, personally, seeing how I didn’t commit the crime, but I end up taking the time. As women we should all know by now that leaving packages like that is just as appalling as snatching someone else’s man, well maybe this is worse. I don’t know if she was in a rush, thought no one would know, doesn’t practice those beliefs, or just decided to put a piece of dyed cotton in the toilet, but whatever happened this is the umpteenth time she’s had the benefit of the doubt and I’m tired of it. Shit! Are we so inconsiderate these days that we can’t take the time to think about others or is it just a sign of no “home training?”
